Ottawa city council upholds reviled Château Laurier addition | CBC News

This time it’s legitimate — Ottawa city council has upheld the reviled Château Laurier addition by balloting down a circulate to overturn an earlier approval at some level of a transient special council meeting Thursday afternoon.

Council individuals who voted against the circulate — in favour of the addition — had been Mayor Jim Watson and councillors Tim Tierney, Keith Egli, Glen Gower, George Darouze, Jan More difficult, Eli El-Chantiry, Matthew Luloff, Laura Dudas, Jenna Sudds, Jean Cloutier, Allan Hubley and Scott Moffatt.

Coun. Rick Chiarelli also voted against the circulate, however did so strategically so he could possibly circulate for reconsideration of that resolution.
